Six units get conditional closure notice from GPCB

July 16, 2015 SURAT: Four gray cloth making textile units in Delad of Olpad taluka and two dying mills located in Sachin and Udhna areas were given conditional closures notices by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) late on Monday. These units were found to be operating with proper clearance besides violating pollution norms. Some of the units that were issued closure notices include Rameshwar Process of Udhna, Paras Enterprise of Sachin GIDC, Avadh Tex Sunrise Industrial estate in Olpad. tnn

J K Patel, regional officer, GPCB Surat, said, "If they don't comply and obtain NOC in time, they would be issued permanent closure. They will also have to give undertaking to follow the norms of GPCB."
