Showcasing an incredible collection of value-added yarns, fibres and embellishments used in the apparels, the seventh edition of ‘Yarnex’ international exhibition commenced here on Thursday.

The three-day event, organised by S.S. Textile Media Private Limited, is providing a B2B platform for sourcing and networking for the producers of yarns, fibres and embellishments from various countries and the apparel manufacturers in Tirupur.

“As many as 96 companies from India and abroad are taking part in this edition to display an exquisite collection of their latest range of products that were required in the production of garments,” P. Krishnamurthy, managing director of S.S. Textile Media, told The Hindu . Some of the products that were on display include organic yarns, cotton-mixed metallic yarns that could be woven into denim fabrics for softness, fabrics made of natural fibres, range of spun yarns and antique yarns.

In the middle of private companies, the stall of government-enterprise Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GSFCL) stands out with its impeccable assemblage of fully drawn yarns and crimp yarns, apart from the fibre products used as secondary reinforcement in construction applications.

“It is also the lone producer of caprolactum, a base material for manufacturing of Nylon-6, in the government sector,” GSFCL senior manager D.G. Maheswari said.
