India’s Union State Minister of Textiles, Darshana Jardosh, inaugurated the SITEX 2022 textile expo which took place from January 8-10 in Surat, acknowledging the initiatives of ColorJet in contributing to the overall growth of the textile sector in India.
The exhibition was organised by the The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) which projects additional revenues of $10 million from the growing textile machinery market of Surat by 2025-26.
Indian-manufactured machines amount to only around 20% of those sold to the country’s huge textile machinery market and through its Make in India initiative, Colorjet is aiming to significantly reduce this import dependency.
The government has set a target of $100 billion for textiles and garment exports over the next five years and companies like ColorJet are expected to play a prominent role in helping manufacturers achieve this ambitious goal.
ColorJet’s latest textile printing machines include the VastraJet K2 with a capacity of up to 5,000 square metres per day and the SubliXpress Plus, with an enormous output of 9,000 square metres per day.
ColorJet Group already markets its machines in more than 25 countries worldwide, with two manufacturing facilities and sales offices spread across seven countries,. To date, ColorJet has installed and implemented over 4,000 of its printing solutions and products across 450 cities around the world, backed by a strong 278-member team, of which almost 100 are in technical positions.
