India Fashion Tex 2023 rallies knitwear industry in Delhi
The latest edition of India Fashion Tex welcomed over 200 international buyers in New Delhi. The trade show brought together knitwear and textile manufacturers and importers and facilitated networking to boost international trade. -
March 23, 2023 The Wool and Woollens Export Promotion Council and the Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council jointly organised the trade show as a ‘reverse buyer seller meet’. Running from March 20 to 22, the trade show welcomed business-to-business trade visitors from a number of countries, including a delegation of more than 20 importers from Japan and a delegation from Lebanon.
“Lebanese textile importers participated in the 'India Fashion Tex-2023', a three Days Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet, organised by WWEPC India PDEXCIL EPC Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and Department of Commerce, Government of India in New Delhi during March 20-22, 2023 and met with Indian textile exporters,” the Embassy of India in Beirut, Lebanon announced on Facebook.
Exports of wool and woollen products from India increased by 29% year-on-year from April 2022 to January 2023. The WWEPC is keen for this double digit growth to continue and aims to facilitate networking between manufacturers and importers from other countries.
“Indian Fashion Tex will help in building the brand image of Indian textiles and will showcase the strength of Indian textile manufacturing base among the visiting foreign buyers/ importers,” said the Wool and Woollens Export Promotion Council’s chairman Romesh Khajuria, Apparel Resources reported.
