Cotton prices remained unchanged as demand from domestic mills was limited. Arrival of the fibre improved but expectation of more downfall in price restricted new buying. Kapas or raw cotton marginally gained on quality issue.

Fresh demand likely to enter after Diwali festival. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton traded at ₹32,800-33,000 per candy of 356 kg. Old cotton stood at ₹32,500-33,500. About 20,000-22,000 bales of 170 kg arrived in Gujarat and 55,000-60,000 bales arrived in India.

Kapas gained ₹5 to ₹850-900 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was ₹910-935. Cottonseed was up ₹5 to ₹450-465.
