Mill workers demand bonus without ceiling

October 25, 2015 The Pondicherry Textile Mills Labour Union has urged the Government to ensure that workers of Swadeshi and Bharathi mills were paid without ceiling a uniform bonus for Deepavali.

In a release, D. Ravi, president of the Union said at present workers in the two mills are eligible for payment of bonus with a ceiling of Rs.7,000. The Government should remove the condition and ensure that workers are provided with a uniform bonus on par with employees in other textile mills in the Union Territory.
