July 21, 2015 Rajkot, July 20:
Cotton traded unchanged on limited buying by domestic mills. Demand marginally declined after price rise in last week. Traders said that mills wanted to buy the fibre but as prices were high demand slowed down. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton traded at ₹34,500-35,000 per candy of 356 kg. About 1,500 bales (of 170 kg) arrived in Gujarat and 4,000 bales arrived in India.
According to traders, price may not decline much as stock position is very low this year. Kapas or raw cotton was steady at ₹900-925 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was ₹930-950. Cottonseed was traded at ₹440-465.
