This Sircilla Textile Zone would be developed at a cost of Rs. 365 crore with all units such as warping, sizing, dyeing and other units, she said and added that the textile units setting up in this zone would get benefits of industrial zone such as infrastructure, basic amenities, concessions, exemptions etc.

The Collector also instructed the powerloom owners to develop the industry on the lines of Surat and provide employment to the weavers throughout the year. Advising the owners to produce value added fabrics, she said that the owners should ensure that the weavers do not go on strike.

She also said that they would provide all amenities in the existing textile park. She asked the entrepreneurs to pay the property tax to the grama panchayat so that developmental works would be taken up by the panchayat. Additional JC A Nagendra, DRDA project director Arunasri and others were also present.
